Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church has been enriching the community with spiritual and cultural services. The history of Bethel A.M.E. Church began over 160 years ago growing from holding services in a blacksmith shop to the purchase of their Spring Street property and the erection of their first church there in 1849.
